||BMW 640i Gran Coupe||

The 2013 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe - a new 4-door, 4+1 seat addition to the 6-Series line - successfully combines the stunning proportions, design and driving dynamics of the 6-Series Coupe with interior room and amenities for up to five passengers. Perfect proportions, precise lines and sleekly contoured surfaces give the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe the unique ability to satisfy the driver who wants a luxurious and sporty coupe yet needs a car capable of carrying four adults in comfort and luxury. The BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe will be offered as three distinct models in the US. Later in the summer, the TwinPower Turbo V-8 BMW 650i Gran Coupe and the all-wheel drive BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe will join the range. BMW 640d xDrive Coupe (2013)

||BMW 640d xDrive Coupe||

BMW is set to add another variant of the Coupe and Convertible to the BMW 6-Series line-up with the arrival of the BMW 640d xDrive Coupe and Convertible in spring 2012. Intelligent all-wheel drive - making its debut in the BMW 6-Series - teams up with a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine featuring BMW TwinPower Turbo technology to take driving pleasure to another new level. The combination of a diesel engine and BMW xDrive all-wheel drive, which will also be found in the BMW 640d xDrive Convertible, gives the BMW 6-Series a spread of abilities none of its rivals can match.

The new BMW 640d xDrive Coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.2 seconds. The 230 kW/313 hp diesel powerplant uses BMW TwinPower Turbo technology to ensure outstanding efficiency, and joins forces with the standard-fitted eight-speed Sports automatic gearbox to deliver exceptionally low fuel consumption and emissions. The xDrive system distributes the power generated by the engine precisely between the front and rear wheels as the situation demands. Pulling the strings behind the scenes is an electronic control unit which links xDrive up with the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system to ensure unbeatable traction, maximum safety, top-class handling and optimum power development in all weather and road conditions. The average fuel consumption of the BMW 640d xDrive Coupe stands at 5.7 - 5.8 litres per 100 kilometres / 48.7 - 49.6 mpg imp (in the EU test cycle, depending on the tyre format), while CO2 emissions are 149 - 153 grams per kilometre. ( Source Site : netcarshow.com )

BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe UK Version (2013)

||BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe UK Version||

BMW will expand the 6-Series range in the UK to three models in June 2012 with the introduction of the Gran Coupé. BMW's first four-door coupé combines the elegant and sporty appearance of a classic grand tourer with the space and ease of access of an executive saloon.

A new 450hp V8 heads a range of three TwinPower Turbo engines, which also includes six-cylinder petrol and six-cylinder diesel powerplants. All three engines drive through an eight-speed automatic transmission and come with the full suite of EfficientDynamics technologies, including Auto Start-Stop, ensuring highly responsive performance goes hand-in-hand with low fuel consumption and emissions. Extensive use of aluminium in the body and chassis reduces weight and ensures that the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupé has the agility and precision expected of a BMW.  ( Source Site : netcarshow.com )

BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe (2013)

||BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe||

Once again BMW is advancing into a new vehicle segment with the introduction of the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe. Following the convertible and the Coupe in the BMW 6-Series, this new exclusive model is the true embodiment of aesthetics, sportiness, comfort and luxury in perfect form. The lean elegance of this vehicle, the very first four-door Coupe in the history of BMW, is truly an exceptional phenomenon. Powerful engines and the advanced chassis technology contribute to a sporty and dynamic driving experience. The BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe is also distinguished by exclusive features and equipment, roominess for rear passenger comfort and remarkable advanced functionality that is unusual even for an upscale, four-door Coupe. For example, folding rear seatbacks and an auxiliary third seat are among the unique design features that contribute to the car's versatility.

Driving dynamics, smooth performance and efficiency are the hallmarks of the TwinPower Turbo engines available for the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe. Furthermore, the BMW 650i Gran Coupe will be the first model offered with a new and more efficient V8 engine that delivers an impressive 330 kW/450 hp. This engine, just like the six-cylinder power units in the BMW 640i Gran Coupe and the BMW 640d Gran Coupe, is offered as standard in conjunction with an eight-speed Sport automatic transmission and proven BMW EfficientDynamics technology. Standard equipment on all models also includes the Driving Experience button with ECO PRO Mode and the Auto Start Stop function.

2013 BMW 5 ActiveHybrid

||BMW 5 ActiveHybrid||

BMW has developed its intelligent hybrid drive technology to the next level with a further ActiveHybrid production model. Again, a petrol engine is combined with an electric motor to enhance both efficiency and the brand's hallmark driving pleasure. The BMW 5 ActiveHybrid is the company's first model to combine a BMW TwinPower Turbo six-in-line engine, an electric motor and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The transmission sends combined power of up to 250 kW/340 hp to the rear wheels.

The BMW ActiveHybrid 5's synchronous electric motor is powered by a lithium-ion high-voltage battery housed between the wheel arches in the boot. The latest-generation BMW ActiveHybrid technology also adds precisely controlled - and therefore extremely efficient - energy management to the mix. This means that for a car in the premium executive class, the BMW ActiveHybrid 5 offers an exceptionally good balance between performance and fuel consumption.

BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept (2013)

||BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept||

The latest generation of the BMW 3-Series Coupe and Convertible leads the way worldwide in the premium mid-range coupe and convertible market. Indeed few, if any, rivals have made such a defining impact on this segment in terms of design, dynamics and efficiency.

Now, with the unveiling of the BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept, BMW is looking ahead to the fourth generation of its sporty mid-range coupe - and reasserting its global leadership credentials in the process.

The "4" - a sign of greater exclusivity and presence.

The BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept adds a new dimension to the qualities of the BMW 3-Series Coupe in terms of aesthetics, dynamics and elegance. The "4" doesn't just mark the start of a new cycle, it represents the zenith of a development curve. BMW has given the new model its own individual character and a standalone design - and, in so doing, has turned "4" into segment shorthand for aesthetic and dynamic appeal. The latest addition to a nomenclature that sees BMW building on the fine tradition of its large BMW 6-Series and BMW 8-Series Coupes, the "4" stands for greater sportiness, greater exclusivity and even clearer differentiation from the BMW 3-Series range.
